Abiodun Regina Nwagbo, an agricultural science teacher at Mother’s Joy College, Ibadan, has emerged as the winner of the prestigious 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year (MToY) Award, earning accolades from both the Oyo State government and her peers.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, commended Nwagbo’s dedication and hard work, describing her as a role model for teachers across the state. During a congratulatory meeting held at the Commissioner’s office in Agodi, Ibadan, Prof. Adelabu praised her commitment, resourcefulness, and outstanding contributions to education.

“Oyo State is immensely proud of you,” said Prof. Adelabu. “Your dedication and enthusiasm have not only earned you this honor but have set a remarkable example for other educators. I encourage other teachers to take inspiration from your achievement and commitment.”

Expressing her gratitude, Nwagbo thanked the Oyo State government, the Ministry of Education, and her school’s principal for their support throughout her journey.
