Police Rescue One FULafia Student After Kidnap Attack Search Continues for Two Others
Three students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from Living Seed Lodge, an off-campus hostel on the outskirts of Lafia, Nasarawa State. The Nasarawa State Police Command confirmed that one of the abducted students has been rescued following a swift search operation, while efforts continue to free the remaining two victims.

According to the Nasarawa State Police Command, the incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday when a distress call was received from the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Federal University of Lafia, reporting that three students residing at Living Seed Lodge, located in a bushy area on the outskirts of the students’ residential community, had been kidnapped by unknown assailants.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed the development in a statement on Wednesday, said police operatives responded immediately to the distress call and launched a coordinated search operation in the surrounding forest.
He said the swift response by the operatives led to the rescue of one of the abducted students, while efforts have been intensified to secure the release of the two remaining victims still in captivity.

The command assured members of the public that every available resource is being deployed to ensure the safe rescue of the remaining students and urged residents to remain calm while providing useful information that could assist the ongoing operation.
