President Bola Tinubu Commissions Multi-Million Naira TETFund Projects at Osun State College of Technology
TETFund Projects Worth Over N361 Million Commissioned at Osun State College of Technology by President Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu commissioned Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) projects worth N361,232,123.88 at the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke on Monday. The projects, a 600-seater capacity auditorium and a story block of office, are part of over 70 projects spread across 17 tertiary institutions in 11 states across the country commissioned in 2023.
The Senator representing Osun East, Francis Fadahunsi (PDP), who represented the President at the commissioning, commended Tinubu for his commitment towards the development of education since the commencement of his administration. He noted that the President’s recent approval of the upward review of Education Tax (EDT) would contribute to the improved funding of the education sector and development of tertiary institutions.

Fadahunsi urged the management of the institution to take advantage of the facilities and make good use of them for the educational and vocational development of the students. He said, “These projects were doggedly executed between years 2019 and 2022 at a total cost of N361,232,123.88. The Fund believes the projects will significantly impact the training of students while providing a conducive working environment for staff and students.”

The institution’s Rector, Dr. Samson Adegoke, appreciated the Federal Government and said the school has benefitted immensely from TETFund in terms of infrastructural development. He said, “Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke has benefitted immensely from TETFund in terms of Infrastructural development. We benefitted from once every two-year TETFund intervention as we alternate with Osun State Polytechnic, Iree."

The Chairman, Governing Council Board, Prince Diran Odeyemi appreciated the effort of the federal government in ensuring that the College benefitted from TETFUND and charged it to sustain the tempo. He assured that the institution would make judicious use of the building and thanked Senator Francis Fadahunsi for his unrelenting efforts in seeing that the institution becomes more virile. He appealed to him to be more committed to the development of the college by adding more values that could attract his name to be written in gold in the institution’s history.
