Prof. A.M. Sani Makes History as UDUS’ First Professor of Nursing Sciences

In a landmark achievement for the Department of Nursing Sciences and the entire Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), Associate Professor Abdurrahman Muhammad Sani has been elevated to the rank of Professor, becoming the institution’s first Professor of Nursing Sciences.

Professor Sani, the current and pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, is also a founding lecturer in the Department of Nursing Sciences at UDUS. Over the decades, he has distinguished himself through teaching, research, and professional service in the field of nursing.

A seasoned academic, Prof. Sani combines extensive clinical experience with strong educational expertise and specialization in Maternal and Child Health Nursing. He holds multiple professional and academic qualifications, including RN, RM, RPHN, BNSc, MSc, PhD, FWACN, and NIM.
