Prof Gbenga Solomon Ibileye of FULOKOJA Honored as Fellow of the Linguistic Association of Nigeria
The Linguistic Association of Nigeria awarded Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, Provost of Postgraduate Studies at FULOKOJA, with the prestigious FLAN Fellowship for his contributions to linguistics.

October 15, 2024, marked a significant milestone in the career of Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, the esteemed Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL). The Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN) honored him with the prestigious title of Fellow of the Linguistic Association of Nigeria (FLAN) during a ceremony held at Alqalam University, Katsina.
The award was received on his behalf by Dr. Tósìn Ọlágúnjú and recognizes Professor Ibileye’s immense contributions to the advancement of linguistics and the development of Nigerian languages. His numerous scholarly works and efforts in promoting linguistic research have greatly impacted the academic community.
