ADUSTECH Students Union Rejects Proposed School Fees Increment

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) CMC Kano has vehemently rejected the proposed school fees increment for both indigenous and non-indigenous students at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil.

According to the proposed increment, Kano indigene students would pay approximately ₦23,000, up from ₦13,000, while non-indigene students would pay around ₦163,000. The students' union has expressed strong objections to this proposal, citing the potential hardships it may cause for students.

They argue that the increase would be unfavorable to all university students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds.

The students' union has requested a meeting with the school administration to discuss alternative solutions that would benefit all stakeholders. They emphasize that the proposed increment is unacceptable and urge the university management and government to reconsider their decision.

It is worth noting that the university's current school fees vary by faculty and department. The proposed increment would significantly impact students' financial burdens.
