ADUN Committed to Academic, Religious Development – Prof. Ogbogbo

The Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Prof. Christopher Ogbogbo, has reiterated the university’s commitment to academic and religious development.

Ogbogbo made this known during the foundation-laying ceremony for the university’s Central Mosque at its permanent site in Ibusa, Delta State.

He said the university was committed to producing graduates who are sound in character and learning.

According to him, religion plays an important role in shaping students’ character and promoting moral values within the university community.

Ogbogbo encouraged the leadership of the Muslim community to construct a befitting mosque that would adequately serve members of the university community.

He added that the facility would also provide a suitable place of worship for friends and visitors from outside the campus.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the Muslim community for inviting him to perform the foundation-laying ceremony.

He assured the Muslim community of the university’s continued support for religious organisations and activities within the institution.

Ogbogbo also promised to visit the project periodically to monitor its progress and seek clarification on any issues that might arise.

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim community, Dr. Musa Saheed expressed appreciation to the university management for its support.

Saheed commended the Vice-Chancellor for his remarkable achievements since assuming office at the institution.

He also thanked Almighty Allah for His benevolence, guidance and continued blessings upon the university community.
