OGITECH Begins 2026/2027 Screening As Candidates Troop To Igbesa Campus

The Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH, Igbesa, has officially commenced its screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, recording a massive turnout of prospective students seeking admission into its various academic programmes.

Speaking on behalf of the Rector, Dr Abiodun Oluseye, the Deputy Rector, Dr Oluyemi Odutola, on Saturday August 1, 2026, explained that the rigorous exercise was designed to ensure that all admitted candidates are properly registered on the Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, and meet the subject combination requirements mandated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.

Dr Odutola urged other UTME candidates seeking higher education to take advantage of available spaces by applying for the newly approved courses by the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE. The new programmes include National Diploma, ND, courses in Crime Management, Office Technology and Management, and Mechatronics Engineering Technology, alongside Higher National Diploma, HND, programmes in Civil Engineering and Electrical/Electronics Engineering with Power and Machines option, among other established courses.

Providing further details on the exercise, the Admissions Officer, Mr Olujimi Oshunmakinde, confirmed that the screening process would continue on Friday, August 7, 2026. He noted that the names of successful candidates would subsequently be forwarded to JAMB for final processing prior to the official publication of the admission list.

Mr Oshunmakinde reassured prospective students that all academic programmes at OGITECH are fully accredited by the NBTE. He reiterated the institution’s commitment to equipping its graduates with both robust academic knowledge and practical Information and Communication Technology, ICT, certifications to ensure their success in the competitive modern job market.
