Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji Makes History as First Female Vice-Chancellor of FUTA

Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji has been appointed as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), marking a significant milestone in Nigerian academia. A renowned biochemist and scholar, she assumed office on May 23, 2022.

Professor Oladiji has over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and university administration. She has held various strategic positions, including Head of Department and Dean of the Faculty of Science, and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Professor Oladiji is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science, Nigerian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Institute of Biomedical Science, UK.
