Rev. Fr. David Mario Dibie has called on staff and students of the University of Delta, Agbor (UNIDEL), to embrace integrity as a guiding principle in their academic, professional, and personal lives.

The exhortation was delivered during the January 2026 edition of UNIDEL Prays at the 1,000-capacity Main Campus Hall.

Preaching on the theme “Living a Life of Integrity,” Rev. Fr. Dibie emphasized the importance of starting the year 2026 with God and decisively abandoning falsehood, deceit, and compromise. Drawing on biblical passages from Titus 2:7–8, Proverbs 10:9, 11:3, and 1 Peter 3:16, he highlighted that integrity is foundational to purposeful living, attracting both divine approval and human trust. He urged the community to reject covering truth with lies and to make honesty a consistent lifestyle.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Stella Chiemeke, in her welcome address, commended the Intercessory Committee for sustaining the monthly prayer programme, which she noted has positively impacted all facets of the Institution. She also lauded staff and students for promptly resuming duties on January 5, 2026, and encouraged the university community to reflect integrity through character and conduct throughout the year.

The Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating God’s continuous work at UNIDEL, thanking the Vice-Chancellor for sustaining the prayer initiative, and acknowledging Rev. Fr. Dibie, the Intercessory Team, Deans, Heads of Departments, staff, and students. He wished the university a successful and fulfilling 2026.

The session featured vibrant praise and worship, intercessory prayers, and an opening prayer by Rev. Celestine Obiaigwe, setting a spiritually charged tone for the year ahead.
