Sa’adu Zungur University VC Bolsters Campus Farm with Point-of-Lay Poultry Boost

The Vice Chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University, Professor Fatimah Tahir, has provided point-of-lay chickens to the University Farm as part of efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and strengthen practical learning within the institution.

The initiative is expected to significantly improve egg production at the farm while also expanding opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in modern poultry management.

Speaking on the development, the Farm Manager, Muhammed Danliti Ahmed, expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for the timely support. He noted that the poultry stock would not only boost farm productivity but could also significantly improve nutrition and stimulate economic activities within the University community.

According to him, the initiative is also expected to reduce financial stress among staff and students by making poultry products more accessible within the campus.

The farm management assured that the chickens will be properly managed to ensure maximum productivity in line with the University’s teaching, research, and community service objectives.
