Mr. Sunday Aroni, the Director of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), has urged Corps Members to take full advantage of the SAED program to help reduce unemployment in Nigeria. Speaking through the Jigawa State Coordinator, Mallam Jidda Dawut, Mr. Aroni emphasized the importance of actively participating in the program by selecting and training in a skill that will empower them for the future.

He highlighted that the NYSC has partnered with financial institutions to provide funding opportunities for Corps Members to start small and medium-scale enterprises, making it easier for them to establish their own businesses after the service year.

Mallam Jidda Dawut shared a practical savings strategy, encouraging Corps Members to save two to three percent of their monthly allowance as a foundation for starting a business. He emphasized the importance of starting small and growing gradually in any chosen business venture.

To further inspire the Corps Members, a short playlet was performed to raise awareness about the benefits of the SAED program, followed by a motivational talk by Abbas Wakala.
