The week-long programme is set to run from Sunday, 22nd February to Sunday, 1st March 2026, featuring a blend of spiritual, academic, and celebratory activities.
- Sunday, 22 February: Church service at Annunciation Catholic Church, SDU, Ozoro, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Monday, 23 February: Novelty football match at SDU Stadium, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, 24 February: Vice-Chancellor’s Press Conference, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, 25 February: Convocation Lecture, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, 26 February: Science, Technology, and Innovation Exhibition, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Friday, 27 February: Main Convocation Ceremony, including award presentations and commissioning of projects, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Sunday, 1 March: Thanksgiving service at Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Diocese of Ozoro, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
University management has urged staff, students, and members of the broader university community to actively participate in this historic milestone, marking the institution’s first convocation ceremony.
