Sunusi Takes the Helm as JCIN NSUK Inaugurates 2026 Executive at Landmark 9th Convention

The Junior Chamber International Nigeria Nasarawa State University Keffi (JCIN NSUK) has inaugurated Zubair Sunusi as its 2026 President, signaling the start of a new administrative year anchored on service-driven leadership and strategic community impact.

The investiture formed the centerpiece of the chapter’s 9th Convention and Formal Investiture Ceremony, held on Sunday at Nasarawa State University Keffi. The convention, widely regarded as one of the most successful in the chapter’s history, convened active members, university officials, and national JCI leaders in what observers described as a defining institutional moment.

The symbolic high point of the ceremony was the formal transfer of the Chain of Office from the 2025 President, Khadijat Ahmed Danyaro, to President Sunusi—an act underscoring continuity, institutional stability, and generational transition within the chapter.

The convention’s intellectual core featured a theme session delivered by JCI Senator Oluwa Rotimi Adewole, who reinforced the organization’s foundational doctrine: leadership is service, not status. He challenged members to recalibrate their ambitions toward measurable community outcomes rather than ceremonial visibility.

A high-level panel discussion followed, drawing participation from university stakeholders and JCI national officers. Deliberations centered on mobilizing youth participation in community development, strengthening collaboration with university management, and leveraging partnerships with government institutions to address local socio-economic challenges.

Beyond the ceremonial formalities, the 9th Convention served as a strategic reset for the chapter’s operational trajectory. With Sunusi’s investiture, JCIN NSUK enters the 2026 administrative year positioned to advance innovative projects, deepen science diplomacy conversations, and strengthen youth-led advocacy across campus and host communities.
