Tragedy struck in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, as a suspected 'yahoo boy' allegedly caused a fatal accident, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The victims include Jenepher Ike, a final year HND Mass Communication student of Delta State Polytechnic; a 14-year-old SS1 student from Odiagbo Secondary School; and an unidentified girl who succumbed to her injuries on Monday morning.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the suspect, identified as one of the 'yahoo boys' in Ogwashi-Uku, faced public outrage, leading to an attempted mob attack. Intervening individuals managed to hand him over to the police. The suspect is currently detained at the Ogwashi-Uku police station.

Despite conflicting reports, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed one death in the incident.
