SWAN Honors Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic with Excellence Award for Sports Development

Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, received the Excellence Award from the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for its outstanding contributions to sports development in Nasarawa State. The award was presented to the Acting Rector, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, in a ceremony attended by key members of the institution's administration.

During the presentation, the Director of Information, Public Relations, and Protocol, alongside Dr. Timothy Allu, Chairman of the Sports Advisory Committee, highlighted the award’s significance. The accolade recognizes the Polytechnic’s commitment to "Championing Minds in Athletics Pursuits and Sports Development in Nasarawa State.

Dr. Maifata expressed his gratitude to the SWAN Nasarawa State Chapter, noting that the recognition would motivate the institution to enhance its sports programs. He emphasized the Polytechnic's ongoing support for sports activities aimed at nurturing young talents for both local and international competitions. Dr. Maifata also mentioned the potential for these initiatives to create wealth and job opportunities for Nigerian graduates.

The award ceremony was graced by the Polytechnic’s Registrar, Zamani Habu Ibrahim, Bursar Zainab Dalhatu Aliyu, QS Isma'ila Muka'ila, among other distinguished guests.
