Taraba State University Welcomes 6,800 New Students at 16th Matriculation Ceremony

Taraba State University, Jalingo, has officially matriculated 6,800 new students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The 16th matriculation ceremony, held on March 28, 2025, at the Sports Complex, marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for these young scholars.

 

Professor Sunday Paul Bako, the Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the students on their admission, emphasizing the significance of this milestone in their academic pursuits. He encouraged the students to take advantage of the university's dynamic learning environment to shape their future and make a meaningful impact in the world.

The newly admitted students were distributed across various faculties, including Agriculture, Arts, Communication and Media Studies, Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Management Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, Sandwich Program, and Institute for Distance Education and Lifelong Learning (IDELL).

 

The Vice-Chancellor announced the establishment of two new faculties: Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence and Faculty of Religion and Philosophy. These additions will provide students with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in these rapidly evolving fields.

The university's Registrar, Dr. Joseph U. Bibinu, conducted the oath-taking session, formally inducting the students into the university community.
