TASFUED Management Appoints Simisaye as Postgraduate College Provost, New Directors and Heads of Departments
The Management of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oladipo, MNPA, CMCPN, MCAN, FIELPN, has approved the appointment of new Academic and Administrative Officers to key positions across the University.

The appointments, aimed at strengthening leadership, improving administrative efficiency and advancing academic excellence, cover the Postgraduate College, Academic Directorates, Students’ Affairs, Centres, Committees and various Departments across the University’s Colleges. The appointments take effect for the respective tenure periods specified in the official circular.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation to officers whose tenures had ended for their dedicated service and contributions to the development of the University. He also expressed confidence that the newly appointed officers would build on existing achievements and bring renewed commitment, innovation and excellence to their respective responsibilities.
Prof. Jimoh Wale Owoyele has been reappointed as Director, Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAPQA), with Prof. Soluade Zabu Olayiwola as Deputy Director. Both appointments run until August 31, 2028.
At the Directorate of Research, Ethics and Reputation (DRER), Prof. Adefunke Ekine Oluwafunmilayo assumes office as Director, with Prof. Lawal Nurudeen Abiodun as Deputy Director.

Other appointments across the Directorates and Centres include:

- Prof. Kunle Bankole Osinusi – Director, Centre for External, Part-Time and Preliminary Studies (CEPPS)
- Dr. Olayinka Olufunmilayo Olusanya – Deputy Director, CEPPS
- Dr. Yinka Adediran – Director, Centre for Human Rights and Gender Education (CHURGE)
- Dr. Anselm Oluwaseun Hannah – Deputy Director, CHURGE
- Prof. Adeoye Muhammed Adeniyi – Director, Counselling and Human Development
- Dr. Alabi Maryam Olufunmilayo – Deputy Director, Counselling and Human Development
- Dr. Adekoya Samson Kehinde – Director, CENVOS
- Mr. Orjinta Callistus – Deputy Director, CENVOS
- Prof. Akinyode Timothy Olawunmi – Director, IVOTRA
- Dr. Akinsulu Alaba Augustine – Deputy Director, IVOTRA
- Prof. Awofodu Adebola Daniel – Director, CITEL
- Dr. Olaniyi Olusegun Samuel – Deputy Director, CITEL
- Prof. Bayo John Ayorinde – Director, TASFUED Consultancy
- Dr. Folasade Eunice Ade-Ogunowo – Deputy Director, TASFUED Consultancy
- Dr. Ademola Adenubi – Director, Information and Communication Technology
- Dr. Abimbola Bolanle Latifat – Deputy Director, Information and Communication Technology
The tenure of the ICT Director and Deputy Director runs until August 2027.
Prof. Olakunle Olagunju Balogun has also retained his position as Dean of Students’ Affairs, with Dr. Anuoluwapo Feyikemi Awodoyin serving as Sub-Dean.
In a major appointment at the Postgraduate College, Professor Simisaye Ahmed Olakunle, who was formerly the Sub-Dean of the College, has been appointed Provost of the Postgraduate College. Prof. Latifat Erinle-Ibrahim has been appointed Deputy Provost.
Other appointments include:
- Dr. Kassim Hassan Gbenga – SIWES Coordinator
- Dr. Badeji Abosede Adejoke – Hostel Warden
- Dr. Fashina Ayomikun Opeoluwa – Assistant Hostel Warden
The University has also appointed chairmen for several Committees and Councils. They are:
- Prof. Amore Kehinde Pedro – Teaching Practice Board
- Dr. Ayedun Toyin Julius – Examination Malpractice Committee
- Prof. Modupeola Banjo – Sports Council
- Prof. Sowole Olusegun – BCOS
- Prof. Okunowo Abayomi – Transport Services
- Prof. Jamiu Fatai Owolabi – SICED
At the College level, new Heads of Department and Coordinators have also been appointed across the College of Specialised and Professional Education (COSPED), College of Science and Information Technology (COSIT), College of Humanities (COHUM), College of Social and Management Sciences (COSMAS), College of Vocational and Technical Education (COVTED) and College of Health and Management Sciences (COHAM).
The appointments cover disciplines including Counselling Psychology, Educational Management, Biological Sciences, Creative Arts, Economics, Business Education, Agricultural Extension and Animal Science.
The new appointments are expected to strengthen the University’s administrative structure and facilitate effective coordination of academic and support services across the institution.
The University congratulated all the newly appointed officers and wished them successful and impactful tenures as they assume their respective responsibilities.
The University Management also expressed its expectation that the newly appointed officers would contribute meaningfully to academic excellence, effective administration and the continued growth and development of TASFUED.
