TASFUED Student Wins ₦5 Million and Master’s Scholarship at African Legacy Summit
The Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Prof. Ekundayo Oladipo, has congratulated Miss Adebayo Oluwabusayomi Ehinome, a 300-level student of the Department of Home Economics and Hotel Management, College of Vocational and Technical Education, following her outstanding performance at the 2026 African Legacy Summit.
The Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Prof. Ekundayo Oladipo, has congratulated Miss Adebayo Oluwabusayomi Ehinome, a 300-level student of the Department of Home Economics and Hotel Management, College of Vocational and Technical Education, following her outstanding performance at the 2026 African Legacy Summit.

Miss Ehinome emerged winner of the Future Visionary Challenge at the summit, securing a ₦5 million cash prize alongside a fully funded Master’s scholarship in a hospitality-related field.
Prof. Oladipo described the achievement as a significant milestone that has brought honour, pride, and international recognition to the university. In a statement issued on behalf of the university management, staff, students, and the wider academic community, he commended the student for demonstrating excellence, creativity, innovation, and strong presentation skills throughout the competition.
The African Legacy Summit, one of the continent’s largest gatherings for students and professionals in hospitality, travel, and tourism, brought together participants from 26 higher institutions across Nigeria. The competition featured a rigorous three-stage pitching process, with 112 students presenting innovative ideas aimed at advancing the hospitality and tourism sector.
Miss Ehinome was eventually declared overall winner after outperforming all other contestants, a feat the Vice-Chancellor attributed to the institution’s growing culture of academic excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

He noted that her success reflects TASFUED’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates equipped with relevant skills, creativity, and leadership capacity to excel across industries.
Prof. Oladipo urged other students to emulate her discipline, resilience, and commitment to excellence, emphasizing that opportunities reward preparation and consistency. He reaffirmed the university’s dedication to providing an enabling environment for innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and talent development.
He also expressed confidence that Miss Ehinome would continue to achieve greater academic and professional milestones, while commending her for projecting the university positively on a continental stage.
