TASFUED VC Charges CEPPS Matriculants to Embrace Discipline and Skill Acquisition
The Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education, TASFUED, Prof. Samuel Oladipo, has urged newly admitted students of the Centre for External Programmes and Preliminary Studies, CEPPS, to prioritize discipline, hard work, and entrepreneurial skill acquisition.
Prof. Oladipo gave the charge at the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony for Part-Time students held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the TETFund 2012 Hall, Ijagun Campus.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the 261 matriculating students, noting that they are the second cohort admitted into the University’s Part-Time programme since its upgrade to a Federal University of Education. He described matriculation as a formal initiation into academic life and urged the students to approach their studies with commitment, perseverance, and integrity.
"Every TASFUED student graduates with two qualifications: a Bachelor of Education degree and a certificate of proficiency in a chosen vocational skill," he said. He added that the model is designed to enhance employability and entrepreneurial capacity.
The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the University’s strengths, including qualified staff, adequate learning facilities, and a secure environment that supports teaching and learning.

The VC warned students against cultism, examination malpractice, cybercrime, hooliganism, indecent dressing, gangsterism, disobedience to authority, and other misconduct. He stressed that the University operates a zero-tolerance policy, with offenders risking summary dismissal.
"As mature students, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of discipline and conduct while focusing on your academic pursuits," he said. He also encouraged participation in legitimate extracurricular activities for all-round development.
Prof. Oladipo congratulated parents, guardians, and sponsors for their support and expressed appreciation for their confidence in TASFUED. He prayed that they would witness the successful graduation of the students.
He wished the matriculants a rewarding and successful academic journey at "the Nation's Premier University dedicated to Teacher Education."
