Three scholars from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) have been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide, according to a report by Elsevier/Stanford University.

In a remarkable achievement that underscores the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)’s growing prominence in global academic and research excellence, three of its scholars have been ranked among the top 2% of scientists in the world.

The prestigious recognition was based on the latest report released by Elsevier/Stanford University on September 16, 2024. This report offered a comprehensive analysis of scientific publications and citation metrics, identifying the world’s most influential scientists in various disciplines.

Among those honoured from FUNAAB are:

  • Dr. Adewale Taiwo, of the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology (EMT), ranked 56,777 globally in Environmental Sciences. His expertise spans Earth and Environmental Sciences, as well as Enabling and Strategic Technologies, with 65 Scopus-indexed publications. He is ranked within the top 313,936 scholars in his domain.
