TIMSAN-UDUS Invites the University Community to Its Annual Maulud

The Tijjaniyya Muslim Students' Association of Nigeria at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (TIMSAN-UDUS) is set to host its annual Maulud on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

The event will take place at the MH2 venue from 9 AM to 2 PM and is open to all members of the university community.

According to Abubakar Tukur, President of TIMSAN-UDUS, the Maulud is a significant occasion for the Muslim community. In an interview with Vanguard Press, he explained that the annual Maulud celebrates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), describing it as a profound expression of love and reverence for him. "This event honors the Maulud, the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)," Tukur stated. "It provides an opportunity for us to come together as a community, reflect on his teachings, and renew our commitment to embodying his values in our daily lives."

The program will include a lecture on the historical and spiritual significance of the Prophet's Maulud, along with prayers and recitations that aim to deepen attendees' understanding and appreciation of the Prophet's life and teachings. This gathering is not only a celebration but also a chance for personal reflection and communal bonding among students and faculty alike.
