Tinubu Orders Removal of Students' Loan Restrictions, Orders Tertiary Institutions to Avoid Arbitrary Increase in Fees

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the removal of the restrictions currently attached to the students loan bill as well as ordering tertiary institutions across the country to defer further increase in school fees.

The new directive was issued by the presidency on Monday in light of the recent challenges facing the country.

Myschoolnews had earlier reported that the feeling in most quarters was the fact the students loan initiative was going to lead to an alarming hike in educational fees.

Others also feared that the loans may not be accessible to all due to the restrictions attached to accessing the Students' loan. However, the president by the new directive has swiftly moved to allay such fears.
