TSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako Urges Philanthropic Investment in Education for National Development
The Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, has issued a passionate call to action for philanthropists and stakeholders to prioritize strategic investments in Nigeria’s education sector.
Prof. Bako made this appeal while speaking as a guest at the 10th Matriculation Ceremony of Peacock College of Education, Jalingo. He emphasized that the burden of funding quality education should not rest solely on the government, noting that private interventions are essential to bridge existing gaps.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, investment in education is the most critical pathway to achieving sustainable development, building robust human capacity, and fostering overall societal progress. He noted that by supporting educational institutions, well-meaning citizens contribute directly to the intellectual and professional empowerment of the youth.
The event, which celebrated a new intake of students at Peacock College of Education, served as a platform to highlight the importance of synergy between public leaders and private donors in enhancing the quality of tertiary learning in Taraba State.
Prof. Bako concluded by congratulating the matriculants, urging them to justify the investments made in their future by remaining dedicated to their academic pursuits.
