UDUS Hostel Electrician Awarded Motorcycle for Commitment

Mallam Nasiru Muhammad, a dedicated electrician at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), received a motorcycle from the Students Union Caretaker Committee on 3rd July 2024. This gift recognizes his unwavering commitment to maintaining the hostels' electrical systems.
Living in Gidan Ruwa, Mallam Nasiru had been walking long distances daily to perform his duties since 2010. Despite facing challenges and criticism from colleagues, he remained dedicated, often working beyond official hours.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Umar Aliyu, and his deputy, Dr. Tukur M. Mukhtar, praised his dedication and added ₦10,000 for fuel to the motorcycle gift. Students have also acknowledged his commitment, highlighting his reliability and quick response to electrical issues.
Comrade Abdullahi Sanusi, the Caretaker Committee Chairman, explained that the award aimed to recognize Mallam Nasiru's hard work and dedication to student welfare.
