UDUS Inducts 66 New Pharmacists into Profession

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) recently inducted 66 newly qualified pharmacists into the pharmacy profession. The induction ceremony, held at the university auditorium, featured an oath-taking ceremony and award presentation.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Garba, the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliru, and other prominent figures.

The chairman of the occasion congratulated the newly inducted pharmacists and charged them to maintain the dignity of the profession by serving with loyalty and integrity. He also urged them to desist from any actions that could tarnish their names.

Prof. Abubakr Muhammad highlighted the faculty's achievements, including a notable grant and high allocation. However, he also acknowledged the challenges faced by the faculty and the nation due to the "Japa syndrome," which has led to the departure of some staff members.
