UI Promotes Ekiti State First Lady to Associate Professor

The University of Ibadan has promoted the First Lady of Ekiti State, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, to the rank of an associate professor. In her words, “I am thrilled to announce that I have been promoted to the position of Associate Professor of Educational Management at the prestigious University of Ibadan.

The University of Ibadan (UI) has promoted the First Lady of Ekiti State, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, to the rank of an associate professor.

The news was shared by Dr Oyebanji herself on a social media platform, where she expressed her gratitude to the university for the recognition.

Dr. Olayemi is a Doctor of Philosophy and a lecturer

In her words, “I am thrilled to announce that I have been promoted to the position of Associate Professor of Educational Management at the prestigious University of Ibadan, effective from 2022. This milestone, though long-awaited, marks a significant step in my academic journey.”

She further expressed her gratitude to her faculty, department, and the University of Ibadan for their support. “I am grateful for the support from my faculty, department, and the recognition from the University of Ibadan," she said.

Dr Oyebanji also took the opportunity to thank her family for their unwavering support. “A heartfelt thank you to my wonderful husband, His Excellency Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and my children for their support,” she added.

In her concluding remarks, she dedicated her promotion to all the women of Ekiti State and beyond who inspire her every day. “I also dedicate this promotion to all the women of Ekiti State and beyond who inspire me every day. Onward to even greater achievements as I graciously await the announcement of my Professorship next year by God’s grace,” she concluded.
