UMYUK Announces PhD Admission for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina (UMYUK) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Admission:

• Master’s Degree Holders: Candidates with a good Master's Degree from recognized universities in a field relevant to their proposed area of study.
• Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Holders: Candidates with a Master of Philosophy degree and a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale in a relevant field, eligible to proceed to a PhD.
• Bachelor’s Degree Holders: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with at least a Second Class Lower Division, in addition to meeting the above criteria.
• Other Qualifications: Candidates with qualifications acceptable to the Senate of the University.
• Research Proposal: Candidates must submit a research proposal synopsis of at least 500 words on their proposed research topic.
