UNIABUJA Celebrates Aishah Ahmad, A Distinguished Alumna and Financial Expert

UNIABUJA honor Aishah Ahmad, a renowned banker and financial expert, and an outstanding alumna of our University.

She graduated with a BSc in Accounting in the 1995/1996 academic session, earning a Second Class Honours (Upper Division).

Ahmad's academic credentials are impressive, with an MBA in Finance from the University of Lagos and an MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield School of Management, UK. She has also obtained several professional certifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and INSEAD Certified Board Director.

With over two decades of experience in the banking sector, Ahmad has held various leadership roles, including Executive Director, Retail Banking at Diamond Bank Plc; Head, Private Clients/High-Net-Worth Individuals at Stanbic IBTC Bank; and Head, Retail Banking (Energy Group) at Zenith Bank. Her expertise in the financial sector is exceptional.

Ahmad's crowning achievement is her role as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), where she oversaw banking supervision, consumer protection, and financial inclusion. Her contributions to the financial sector are invaluable, and her legacy continues to inspire.
