UNIABUJA raised Serious Concerns on Access to girl's Hostel by Unauthorized individuals

Reports of unauthorised individuals gaining access to girls' hostels university of Abuja have which has raised serious concerns and created anxiety among residents of the hostel.

Over the past few weeks, there had been a series of rumours, complaints, and reports from female students at mini campus girls' hostel about men or guys entering the hostel at midnight.

Conversations with a number of female students revealed that this has been occurring for some time and it is becoming a source of worry for the students.

This is a disturbing development that should not be left unattended. The school management and the security unit need to look into how these men were able to gain access into the hostel and why it continues to occur.

There is a need for more security at night along those hostels, and it is advisable for I'll advise all female students to be careful and vigilant, especially at night.

The hostels are meant to be an environment where students can live, learn, and grow without fear or concern. We must do all to ensure that it remains that way.
