UNIABUJA Releases Detailed First Semester 2023/2024 Lecture Timetable

The University of Abuja has unveiled the comprehensive timetable for the First Semester of the 2023/2024 academic session, outlining a structured plan for academic activities and essential events.

The academic calendar initiates with Student Course Registration, commencing online from January 2nd to January 12th, 2024. Concurrently, students undergo Medical Screening and Orientation sessions, emphasizing their well-being and smooth integration into university life.

Marking the beginning of the semester's instructional activities, both Virtual and Physical classes are scheduled to commence from January 15th. The course registration period comes to a close on January 22nd, ensuring students finalize their enrollment for the semester.

An Add and Drop window is scheduled from January 29th to February 2nd, 2024, allowing students to make necessary adjustments to their course selections. A significant event, the Matriculation Ceremony, is planned for February 1st, 2024, symbolizing the formal induction of new students into the university community.

Further ahead, the university gears up for its 2022/2023 Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for February 24th, 2024, celebrating the academic achievements of graduating students.

The academic calendar strategically incorporates a Mid-Semester Break on March 7th and 8th, 2024, allowing students and faculty a brief respite before resuming classes on March 11th.

As the semester progresses, classes are set to conclude on April 5th, 2024, marking the culmination of instructional activities. This leads to the commencement of the First Semester Final Examinations, scheduled from April 8th to April 20th, 2024, a crucial period for student assessment.

Post-examination procedures include the upload and submission of Final Grades by April 24th, 2024, followed by faculty board meetings to approve grades by April 26th. Subsequently, the Senate Meeting is slated for April 30th, 2024, to give the final approval on grades.

Concluding the semester, the Electronic Release of Final Grades to students is set for April 30th, 2024, at 5 PM, providing students with a comprehensive overview of their academic performance.
