UNIABUJA Students Secure Grant for Innovative Research Projects

Ajewole Peter Tosin and Muhammed Halima Idris, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Abuja, have achieved a remarkable feat by securing a total grant of ₦1,522,980 from the UofA Centre for Undergraduate Research (CUR).

This grant will facilitate their groundbreaking research endeavors in their respective thematic areas.

Tosin and his team are delving into the utilization of low green technology to enhance the preservation of beans and maize, thereby addressing critical food security challenges.

On the other hand, Halima Idris and her collaborators are exploring the innovative use of orange peels as natural repellants for mosquitoes, contributing to the advancement of eco-friendly pest control methods.
