The management of the University of Jos has announced the reversal of its proposed school fee increase for returning students. This decision comes after a series of discussions with the Students’ Union Government (SUG), which highlighted the financial challenges faced by students.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Tanko Ishaya, confirmed the change during a meeting that included top management staff and SUG leaders. The university has advised students to refrain from making any payments until the official school charges are updated on the university dashboard.
This decision marks a significant response from the university's administration to student concerns and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining accessible education in the face of rising costs.
