UNILAG Organizes Leadership 2-Day Training for Deans and Department Heads on Enhancing Institutional Excellence

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Staff Training and Development Unit (STDU) is set to conduct a two-day training program for Deans and Heads of Departments, aimed at strengthening leadership skills and fostering institutional excellence.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Staff Training and Development Unit (STDU) is set to conduct a two-day training program for Deans and Heads of Departments, aimed at strengthening leadership skills and fostering institutional excellence. Scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the training will take place at the Academic Publishing Centre, next to the Faculty of Social Sciences Complex, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Under the theme "Synergy for Success: Enhancing Institutional Excellence," the program will delve into the roles and responsibilities of Deans and Department Heads, equipping them with strategies to optimize staff performance through effective performance management. Additionally, the training will provide insights into UNILAG’s policies on academic procedures, including deferment, leave of absence, and abscondment, ensuring consistent and informed decision-making across departments.
