The Staff Training and Development Unit (ST&DU) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to hold a two-day training program for Examination Officers aimed at enhancing academic standards.

UNILAG to Host Training Program for Examination Officers on Academic Standards

The Staff Training and Development Unit (ST&DU) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to hold a two-day training program for Examination Officers aimed at enhancing academic standards. The training, themed “Protecting Academic Standards: Examination Officers’ Roles and Responsibilities,” will take place on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

This initiative will address critical topics including the essential roles and responsibilities of Examination Officers, key regulations regarding progression, referrals, and repeats, as well as university policies on academic matters such as deferment, leave of absence, and abscondment. Additionally, the program will cover processes for amending results and structuring examinations.

Participation in the training is restricted to nominees of Deans and Heads of Departments (HoDs). Deans and HoDs who have not yet submitted their lists of Examination Officers are urged to do so by Tuesday, October 2, 2024, via email at stdc@unilag.edu.ng. The required format for submission is as follows:
