A team of researchers from the University of Ilorin has been awarded the 2025 Food Protection Trends (FPT) Peer-Reviewed Research Most-Cited Publication Award by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), USA.

The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) represents a broad range of members with a singular focus-protecting the global food supply.

In a post shared on its website, the IAFP listed the recipients to include Dr Ismail A. Odetokun, Dr Ibraheem Ghali-Mohammed, and Prof. Saliu A. Ameen, alongside some alumni – Dr. Aliyu A. Nuhu and Dr. Habeeb A. Oyedele, as well as Nma B. Alhaji and Prof. Victoria O. Adetunji.
