UNIMAID Alumni Association Commiserates with NTA and Gombe Journalists Following Tragic Incident
The Caretaker Committee of the University of Maiduguri Alumni Association (UMAA) has issued a formal condolence message following the tragic loss of staff from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Gombe State Chapter.
The tragedy, which occurred on December 29, 2025, has sent shockwaves through the regional media community. In an official statement released today, December 30, the association expressed profound sorrow over the "unfortunate incident" that claimed the lives of dedicated media professionals.
In the message signed by the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, A. B. El-Ibrany, Esq., the association highlighted the significant role the deceased played in national development through public enlightenment and information dissemination.
