In a letter dated August 2, 2024, the association highlighted the challenges faced by students, particularly those in demanding programs like Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy, in passing all courses within the regular two-semester framework. The proposed third semester would serve as a supplementary semester, allowing students to register for a limited number of courses and focus on clearing failed or pending courses. This initiative aims to provide students with extra support and time to succeed in their academic pursuits.
The association believes that this proposal would greatly benefit students who need additional assistance and time to clear their courses, ultimately enhancing their academic experience and success.
