UNIMAID Students' Association Proposes Introduction of Third Semester

 The Association of UNIMAID Generals, a student body at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), has submitted a proposal to the university's senate requesting the implementation of a third semester to facilitate course clearance.

In a letter dated August 2, 2024, the association highlighted the challenges faced by students, particularly those in demanding programs like Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy, in passing all courses within the regular two-semester framework. This can lead to accumulated failed courses, delayed graduation, and increased stress and anxiety.
