UNIMAID SUG Conducts Successful Fumigation Exercise Against Mosquitoes And Snakes

The Student Union Government (SUG) of the University of Maiduguri recently conducted a large-scale fumigation exercise to combat the presence of mosquitoes and snakes on campus, myschoolnews Report.

Led by the SUG President, comr Munir Hassan nababa' accompanied by his aide council members including the deputy chief of staff, chief press secretary, assistant chief press secretary, among others the operation spanned across various hostels, including both male and female hostels, with the aim of creating a safe and hygienic living environment for students.

The initiative received widespread appreciation from students who were grateful for the proactive steps taken by the SUG in addressing this issue. The presence of mosquitoes and snakes, especially during the rainy season, can pose a threat to the health and well-being of students. Therefore, the fumigation exercise was a welcome relief to many who often experienced sleepless nights due to mosquito bites or fear of snake incidents.

The fumigation exercise extended beyond the hostels and also covered the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) area. The MPH is a crucial learning space for students, and the fumigation aimed to provide a conducive environment for education. By eliminating mosquitoes and snakes, students can focus better on their academics and feel more secure within the campus premises.
