The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, has reiterated the institution's commitment to collaborating with the Drug Free World Africa, Borno State Chapter, in its mission to promote a drug-free society.

Speaking during a courtesy visit from the organization on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his office in the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building, Professor Mele expressed his appreciation for the partnership. He assured that the university would address the organization's requests diligently and emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to curb drug abuse among youths and adults, both within the university community and beyond.
