UNIPORT Announces First Batch of Student Loan Remittance

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has confirmed the remittance of the first batch of student loans by the Federal Government.

This was disclosed in a notification issued by the Bursary Department's Fees Monitoring Unit on November 18, 2024.

According to the statement signed by the Chief Accountant, Mr. Emeka Opara, students who applied for the loan can now verify their payments via the student portal. The notice also outlined steps for beneficiaries to follow:

1. Check the student portal to confirm payment.

2. Print the payment receipt from the portal.

3. Proceed with course registration.

Students encountering issues or requiring assistance have been advised to contact the Bursary Department.
