Bayero University Kano (BUK) has expelled 62 students and rusticated 17 others over allegations of examination misconduct, reinforcing its commitment to upholding academic integrity.

The disciplinary action was taken during the university's 421st senate meeting held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The decision was officially communicated through the institution’s weekly bulletin released on Friday.

According to the bulletin, the university's General Examinations and Academic Regulations (GEAR) guided the disciplinary measures. Apart from the students expelled and rusticated, five students were exonerated, 29 received warnings, and the cases of three others were deferred for further review.
