UNIUYO Announces Resumption and Academic Calendar for 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 Sessions

The Registrar of the University, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie, has officially announced the resumption of academic activities for all undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 sessions.

According to the memorandum dated September 27, 2024, lectures for the first semester will commence on Monday, October 7, 2024.

The approved academic calendar outlines important dates and activities for students, including:

• October 7, 2024: Start of the 1st Semester for both academic sessions.
• October 7 - October 25, 2024: Registration without penalty (3 weeks).
• October 21 - October 25, 2024: Orientation for new students (1 week).
• December 23, 2024 - January 3, 2025: Christmas break (2 weeks).
• January 6, 2025 - January 10, 2025: Completion of lectures for the first semester (1 week).
• January 20, 2025 - February 7, 2025: First-semester examinations for all students (3 weeks).
• February 24, 2025: Commencement of the second semester for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 sessions.

The calendar also includes breaks, revision periods, and registration windows for students. All students are advised to adhere strictly to the schedule, including the registration deadlines, to avoid penalties.
