University of Abuja Governing Council Inaugurated

The 11th Governing Council of the University of Abuja has been formally inaugurated at the Federal Ministry of Education. The council is chaired by Dr. Olanrewaju Tejuoso and comprises 10 members from various regions and constituencies.

The members include Professor Rosemary Iriowen Egonmwan, Dr. Adedeji Adefuye, Professor Sarki Abba Abdulkadir, Professor Aminu Mohammed Dukku, Professor Ashom M. Maisamari, Professor Sunday P. Ejaro, Professor Abdulhamid Ozohu-Suleiman, Professor Simon Enem Ikechukwu, Professor Musa Olaofe, and Dr. Patrick Uju.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, urged the council members to provide strategic direction to transform Nigeria's tertiary education sector in line with President Tinubu's vision to scale up manpower development.
