GSU Vice-Chancellor Undertakes UK Study Tour to Advance Entrepreneurial University Agenda

The Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, GSU, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, has undertaken a strategic study tour to three leading universities in the United Kingdom as part of efforts to transform Gombe State University into an entrepreneurial institution driven by innovation, global partnerships, and sustainable growth.

The Vice-Chancellor visited Liverpool John Moores University, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Lancaster University, where he met with university leaders and academic experts to study their governance structures, academic systems, innovation ecosystems, and approaches to entrepreneurship.

The visit was aimed at exploring how Gombe State University can adopt global best practices that promote innovation, research commercialization, resource mobilization, industry collaboration, and sustainable institutional leadership. It also provided an opportunity to examine successful models for developing entrepreneurial universities that generate knowledge, create economic value, and contribute to national development.

Throughout the engagements, Professor Yauta held discussions on strengthening international collaborations, expanding research partnerships, enhancing staff and student exchange programmes, and building institutional capacity to support entrepreneurship and innovation.

The study tour marks another important step in Gombe State University's commitment to institutional transformation, academic excellence, and strategic international collaboration.
