The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to celebrate its 60th Anniversary from October 2 to October 4, 2024, under the theme "Engineering Solutions for National Development." This milestone event will feature a series of activities aimed at showcasing the faculty's contributions to the field of engineering and its impact on national progress.

The celebration will kick off on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with an Opening Ceremony and Exhibition at 10 a.m. at the Faculty of Engineering. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage with various engineering projects and innovations developed by faculty members and students over the years.

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the faculty will host an Alumni Lecture and Awards Ceremony at the J.F. Ade. Ajayi (Main) Auditorium, also starting at 10 a.m. The lecture, titled "The Nigerian Power Industry: Past, Present, and the Future," will be delivered by Mr. Kola Adesina, MFR, FNSE, the Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group. This session promises to provide valuable insights into the evolution and future prospects of Nigeria's power sector.
