University of Maiduguri Tightens Security Measures, Bans Vehicles with Heavily Tinted Glasses and Covered Number Plates

The University of Maiduguri has issued a directive prohibiting vehicles with heavily tinted glasses, covered number plates, and official number plates without permission from accessing the university campus .

 

The directive, issued by the Chief Security Officer, Major Abiya Mohammed (Rtd), follows a resolution passed by the Top Management Committee (TMC) at its 132nd meeting held on January 27, 2025.

According to the directive, a Standing Team has been constituted to enforce the directive and apprehend individuals who violate the rules. Staff members are also required to carry their Staff Gate Pass when entering or exiting the campus for security checks and identification.
