University of Maiduguri VC Welcomes NUC Accreditation Team
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, welcomed the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team, led by Yakubu Hassan Azare, to the university.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, has formally welcomed the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team to the university. The accreditation team, led by Yakubu Hassan Azare, is at the university to conduct an accreditation exercise for six academic programs.
The programs under review include the Master's in Public Administration, Master's in Health and Planning Management, B.Sc. Marketing, B.Sc. Public Administration, B.A. French, and B.A. Hausa.
During the visit, Professor Yakubu Mukhtar, the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, represented the Vice Chancellor. He assured the NUC team of the university's full cooperation throughout the accreditation process. Professor Mukhtar also requested the team to provide a comprehensive report that would not only highlight areas of excellence but also identify aspects that may require further improvement.
The accreditation exercise is part of the NUC’s efforts to ensure that universities in Nigeria maintain high standards in their academic programs, with the ultimate goal of fostering quality education.
