The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Ezeokonkwo, emphasized the critical need for universities to seek support beyond traditional government funding. He praised Professor Nweze for his innovative use of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to significantly enhance the Faculty of Biological Sciences.

Professor Ezeokonkwo highlighted that Professor Nweze’s efforts have led to the acquisition of a new bus and the completion of 42 projects within the faculty. “This is a testament to what can be achieved when we look beyond government allocations and harness our internal resources effectively,” he stated.
