UNN Adjusts Academic Calendar Following First Semester Exam Delays
This change was communicated in a memorandum from the Acting Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Johnson O. Urama.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced a slight adjustment to the 2023/2024 academic calendar, with the second semester now scheduled to commence on Monday, September 16, 2024. This change was communicated in a memorandum from the Acting Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Johnson O. Urama.
According to the memo, the adjustment became necessary due to the delay in completing some first-semester examinations, particularly the Computer-Based Tests (CBTs), which are just being concluded. The original timetable had scheduled the second semester to begin on August 30, 2024.
The Senate Timetable Committee, chaired by Prof. ABC Ekwealor from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, will revise the timetable accordingly, and the updated schedule will be circulated to all departments and faculties shortly.
The university administration urges all students and faculty to take note of the new date and plan accordingly.
For further inquiries, stakeholders are encouraged to contact the relevant university offices, including the Deputy Vice Chancellors, the Registrar, and the Provost of the College of Medicine.
